Linking Emotion and Reason as ways to know

For today’s exploration, please review the pages you’ve read from the textbook – 171-173 – regarding fallacies of emotion and apply what you’re learning to politics.  Consider the reading you’ve done, or perhaps these links discussing common fallacies.  Or this one from Business Insider (thanks, Charlie).  Look for fallacies that are used in political debates and then research what our future president is doing.  Here’s one for practice (thanks, Shashank): What fallacy is at play here?

Review what others are saying about the Republican and Democratic debates and look for fallacies in the thinking of the candidates.  Be sure to excerpt a sample from both political parties – not just the party you are opposed to.  Print out what you’ve found and include your own commentary discussing the fallacies found therein.
